Thats the tractor back up and running but I guess I am a bit late in the season now for my food plot as I only now have the chance to plow and disk it. Any Ideas folks or should I just hold off till near year ?? And that is , if my tractor can even get a plow through that guy clay ground now.

A lot of a good garden can get planted until late July. Here are some examples of things that can go in late: Snow peas when planted in mid july will give you a nice fall harvest. Carrots, beets, swiss chard, spinach, broccoli and cabbage can be started then too. You can plant onions by seed even into August to make onion sets for sticking next spring. All the salad greens and other greens can be started mid summer for fall harvest too.
Bush beans and radishes are great for later plantings too. I think you can still get zucchini to produce into the late fall as well with a mid-summer planting. You may want to start them in trays a little earlier. I would do that with the cole crops as well.
Tomatoes, peppers, corn, and regular squash are probably out of the question for mid summer planting. Might get some of the 75 day sweet corns to make it if planted before the 4th of July.
You can also solarize some plots for next spring's planting. Solarizing with clear plastic will kill 95% of the weed seeds down about 5" and will clean up your ground of a lot of nematodes and bad pathogens as well.

Thank you for the gardening heads up. I think I am on track with the gardening . I was thinking about the food plot for the critters and if there is still time to pt something in the ground for them .

Can still plant corn, soybeans, buckwheat, sunflowers and millet in our area. Best plots for deer and turkey can be planted in fall {Aug 15 -Sept 30} . Plant wheat, rye, oats, crimson clover, white or red clover, radish, turnips, rape, etc in Fall.
