Green Bay and NE WI has been dumped on in the last 24 hours 2.5" - 4" with another 2" expected today. Flooding in the streets of Green Bay.

Stay dry friends.

Yep, we've had 4 inches as of right now, waiting on the second round this afternoon. Our creek is high, not quite as high as winter melt last year. Sheboygan River in Falls is way out of its banks. Lakeshore in Sheboygan is flooding again.

Farther north it has rained steady but very light. I have totaled 0.4 inches. Perfect for the early garden I planted Wed.

The east wind here is worse than the rain. Never see an east wind like this and no one is set up for it. Thought everything was going to blow away last night. Wife called this morning to say a huge section of the neighbors barn is collapsing from the wind. Folks we bought our 40 from.

The east wind on this side of the pond is blowing the lake back up the rivers and flooding most of the lake side towns/cities.

We were dry here too. We had hardly any for a month but 4-5 inches in 36 hours is a months worth in a couple days! With the high water in the big lake, more rain and high NE winds there is a lot of flooding and erosion going on along the lake shore. When the rivers entering the lake back up the water backs up for miles.

I'd like a do-over on this month. Never seen a worse may weather-wise. First a week of winter, then a dang October hurricane. Then straight to 80.

I need 5 dry days in a row so I can bale hay. It's ready to cut.

Yep, pretty wet here in the Eau Claire Area, rivers will be up for awhile for sure. On the plus side, WI has been under a high fire danger for awhile now.

Strange year for us here. crop planting is real close to the 20 year average and just a bit better based on percentage planted by x date. We had a dry spell for about 5 weeks here ending yesterday. However even with a nice start to planting our vegetation growth and insect arrival, hatching etc. are below the norm. Our growing degrees are about 10-15% below normal with really cool nights. This rain and a warm week coming will change that but we have been slow in growth. Our over wintering crops winter wheat and alfalfa have from moderate to severe winter injury and that slows growth as the roots are not getting much nutrients from the less green growth.
I have some stakes by some plants and today I noticed that some plants grew about 3 inches the last two days. We have had many days of cool winds coming off the lake and strong enough to carry inland 5-20 miles some days.

Keith, if push comes to shove and you don't get the dry weather to make good dry bales (assuming you're baling big rounds), we made first and second crop into balage. The extra expense is worth it, esoecially when you're faced with salvaging hay that has been rained on. Been there too many times in the past.
