Saw one in my yard this morning, saw a female a week ago on the feeder but just saw the male. They are so much brighter than a Cardinal. I took a pic of a red headed woodpecker on the suet this evening. I think the deep red on their head is very cool and the sharp bright white on the body and wings against the black.

I know they have been in the area here for years see in woods. Friday seen the first one ever here in my yard along with an Indigo Bunding. First time ever seen either them right here in yard. Don't know where the bunding took off to only seen him once? The Tanager has been hitting the grape jelly on my wife's oriel feeder. So is hanging out close by some where.

In all my years, I've only seen one once. Another bird I have only seen once was an Indigo Bunting. That's another really neat bird.
