I have a buddy who owns a lodge near our cabin in NW Ont. Going to be a lean year.

Have you heard of any assistance for the tourist industry in Canada?

I wonder how that would work with the number of lodge owners who are US Citizens. For that matter, I wonder if they're getting any sort of assistance formnour government.

We've been open water here since March. Possibly even late February in certain stretches.
There was really no ice fishing season to speak of this year.

I can't imagine the financial pain some outfitters in the north are going to feel this year. My heart goes out to all of them.

I might feel a bit different towards some outfitters in Canada then most of you. The way I see it is if the outfitters are so financially hurt after losing out on a spring season so far then they shouldn’t have drank all their profits over the years.
Outfitters make a TON of money and so far some of them have missed out on some income.

I don’t feel sorry for someone because they aren’t prepared and choose alcohol over it.

Was out in the bush today seen 5 moose and 2 bears.
