Yup. I gave you what’s out there.

Sorry you were disappointed.

Nobody but a chosen few had them, all at the end of their seasons.

At least the thing will hold a coon. grin

I couldn’t agree with you more. It sucks watching videos or pics of folks up north or out west using larger traps for yote, bobcat and wolf but we can’t down here. Heck Clint Locklear uses the big CDR traps on bobcat out in Texas.

Yep, I don't care to use a CDR but a 6 inch law would open the doors for a lot of traps. Not being able to use these Dukes or Bridger #3s is ridiculous.

I’ve heard the GA law was because of so many deer. They can escape a #2 or 550 pretty easy. I’ve only seen where one struggled a bit and even then it wasn’t too tore up around the set.

Beav,I think I would leave the helper springs on and get some setters. If those springs are that strong, the larger pair may tweak the levers after awhile. The helper springs could help balance things out.I have to think they are there for a reason,on this bigger trap.

I'm using setters, the Armstrong variety. LOL

The spring levers are too wide for my setters so I had to do a little grinding on the setter to get It to fit. Those traps are super strong.

So you have the setters working now? I can't set MB 650's easily without setters.I can set them with my feet but my back doesn't like it.Using One Hand Setters, I can get 3 times as many set in a day without the back, knee, wrist, etc, aching like happens without setters,on those traps.Do yourself a favor and use the setters all the time.

Will the One handed type of setters make It easier then lets say the ones that just look like spring leaver extensions? That's the type I have.

I think so, because when they are in a set position your one hand is free.

Yes.It is hard to explain but ADC has a good video of them in action. It is well worth watching. To boot, once you have both in one hand, there is a safety hook, like on a conibear spring that you can hook and even set them down if you need to.

My grip isn't what it used to be but with the 750 model,I can set the wolf version of the MB750,all day long with no fatigue. You can definitely set them without being on the ground, table, tailgate, etc.I could set the 750's sitting in my truck,if I wanted to.

The MB650 version, also works on the 550.It may be the same on the Dukes.Contact onehandtrapsetter to be sure.

I just went out and I dragged put one of my MB750s I can set that with no problems and with out any help of a setter.
The Duke 1 1/2 was over powered In my opinion but this 650 Is a beast. I can't image what the 750 is going to be like.
I will check Into the one hand setters.

There is a big difference between the Wolf 750 and the beaver 750.Can you set the 750's,standing up,not rested on the ground, your knee,or any flat surface? Can you set them, standing in 3' of water? You can with the One Hand Setters. The only question ,is there a model that fits the new Duke 650?

If there's not, there soon will be I'm sure. Beav have you tried slapping at it with your purse? laugh

I can set MB750s by hand too but I wouldn't anymore. My video from 6 years ago...

Thanks ADC.I was waiting for the "slapping it with your purse" comment.I almost did it myself, but was able to hold out.I was also hoping you would post your video. Some have yet to see them in action.I think The Beav might actually be getting ready to get rid of some moldy money!
