Join a bowling or darts team its a good way to meet locals.

Personally, I would be tickled to have no family around. Lots of TMAN folks around the area

Join the Idaho Trapper's Association and the Upper Snake River Trappers of Idaho. Then attend some of the meetings. You'll not only meet the locals, but the like-minded ones.

Oh yeah I'm dang excited about the coyotes out here. Been seeing a bunch out on the farm I'm working.
I was going to call fish and game one of these days to check on the rules and regs on thermal scopes for coyotes on blm ground. Any one else use one or know the laws ?
