They are taking down the statue in the capital today. It is part of history and I think the voters should have a say.

You did have a say when the constituents voted in the decision makers. We all need to get more involved and vote good people in, or we're gonna lose America. Plain and simple.

Got a county here in Ga named Jeff Davis County....and a historic site in Irwin County where he was captured by Union troops....

As a person who studies history, I always found it ironic that in no other country where insurrection occurred against an existing government and lost. Then the loser of the insurrection was allowed to build and maintain monuments of the losers in the victors country. I understand that the victorious American government was not looking for more disagreements with the losers but why would one allow them to build monuments to their failed leaders and continue to have them 140 years later. Like it or not they lost, they are history, their is no confederacy, and it will not rise again.

George Washington and Thomas Jefferson will be next....Talk about the Confederacy all you want, it's wasted breath at this point....They're coming for the U.S.A. next, and it will also be lost, and relegated to history unless you stand and fight.

Just seen on the local news where they are on the University of Missouri ars to remove a statue of Thomas Jefferson. Guess the university told them they weren't in the habit of removing history. Let's see what happens next
