I can't figure out these new wave gardening folks who try anything other than just putting the dang plants in the ground. Cardboard, newspaper, old tires...we get calls and messages from customers all the time about hair brained planting ideas. Just till and plant. I'm not much of a fan of traditional tilling anymore. Stirs up weed seeds. I did try to use newspaper/cardboard one year. Made perfect sense and still does. I save all my cardboard and papers for 9 months. I laid it all out one June morning after things had sprouted. Watered it real good to keep it down. Plus a storm was coming later that day. We went to service amd when we got back the storm only brought wind. ALL that paper and cardboard was blown into the hedgerow.

[quote=Pike River][quote=maintenanceguy]This guy knows should look good , it appears to have come from a bag , looks like they laid down brown paper bags on the grass then put bagged potting soil on top then planted the plants in the potting soil I suppose you're right. Figured the NW had some black gold soil like in SE WI. If you're right that's one incredibly expensive veggie patch I'm sure they paid for it

On a serious note, a question. They have signs that say leaving the USA, is this treason?
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Weird. Clinton was president during ruby ridge and waco. I think its safe to say when democrats are in charge things go badly.

I take particular pride in maintaining an immaculate garden. That one is a waste and I suppose those folks will be Johnny on the spot to maintain it. Zim

I believe George Bush #1 was president when Ruby Ridge went down. Clinton was later that same year I think.
