I have a pair of Danner Pronghorns, leather, 400 grams insulation and gore tex. They are ok but the pair I have doesn't have a loop in the back top to grab when I am sliding them on. I have a high instep and use that loop on most boots.

I've got irish setters and love them, on my 3rd pair.
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I think you are unlikely to find anyone who can accurately answer your question. Danner changed the last (foot mold) the Pronghorn was made on a few years ago, enlarging the toe box and narrowing the heel. This made them better perhaps for the hunter sitting in a stand but not very good for the hunter on his feet. The new configuration apparently did not sell well because recently Danner has been advertising that the old Pronghorn is back - they went back to the old last. So anyone who has bought Pronghorns in the past 4-5 years has a different Pronghorn than they are selling now. Observations made relative to quality I expect are accurate and apply across the product line.
I bought a pair of insulated Wolverines back in 2016 for an elk hunt when my 15 year old Pronghorns were shot and I didn't want to spend $400 for new boots. They are light, comfortable, water tight and still in service, but I only wear them hunting so they don't get a lot of wear. I also took my uninsulated Asolo hiking boots as a back-up on that elk hunt, just in case the China made Wolverines fell apart, but the Wolverines did fine.

I've got irish setters and love them, on my 3rd pair. Irish Setters used to be my go-to hunting boot. They were comfortable, warm, stayed dry and lasted a good long time. Then they outsourced to China and quality went way down. My last pair of Elk trackers leaked like a sieve right out of the box and I got zero satisfaction from customer service. I'm glad you guys are having good luck with them but I stopped buying them.
Eh...wot?

I had a few pair of them and nevah had any issues, other then wearing them out. I go through boots pretty fast regardless of the cost of them. I'm in heavy brush, sage and a lot of rough county and it doesn't matter what brand I wear out the toe area from the terrain I'm in.
As far as being water proof I would say they aren't even if they are said to be. Saying that, I haven't bought any brand that says their boot is water proof, they all leak like a sieve. That is one of the most irritating thing for me when you pay good money for a boot and they are suppose to be water proof and they leak. It doesn't matter the cost of that boot. I'm not talking all rubber boot either.

My pronghorns are comfortable and have given me no problems . I wear them during archery season in September so not much wet weather . They are imported though I think They have a line of USA made boots too I have a pair of these for October and November hunts ..... colder wetter These are pricey but I was fortunate to have worked on a new danner store and they generously gifted me a pair
