The "pan" ? Only one rivet? The prongs seem uneven and flat? I have only seen a few pictures of this trap, so not sure? Anyone familiar with this trap, any information would be appreciated.

The "prongs" are the pan. They are flat and have a slight twist. The pics are pretty dark of that trap on ebay but from what I can see it looks ok. I have seen the spring pin like that one and also with a flat cut piece of metal instead. I think some of them were assembled differently than others. Maybe someone else will respond, but to me it appears legit.

The prongs are flat with no twist, I thought they were suppose to be twist slightly too? Then got thinking maybe the trappers were twisting them? The "V" or notch in the middle of the prongs is uneven, one prong seems bigger than the other? And one rivet, others I have seen had two rivets? Not terribly interested in the Double spring but trying to educate myself on the Digger in case I come across a reasonable one. What I really want is a single spring Digger trap, they just look more interesting to me?

mktrp45, thank for the info, it is greatly appreciated.

You're welcome for what little help I can give. I have seen them with one side of prong bigger than the other. Not sure about the one rivet. You are right about the prongs being flat on that trap, but I don't know for sure if they come both ways or not.

My OPINION! I would not let either that trap or the price obtained affect my information base on Montgomery Digger traps.

It looks different, but this is the same Digger trap that sold on ebay for $75.
