I would rather just have a payroll tax holiday and keep my own money. That way if you did not work for it you don't get one. Probably unpopular but ….. LLL

I cannot in good faith ever support rewarding bad behavior and this will no doubt end up that way. If a man was working prior to covid I can see the argument. But giving money to people who never did or flat out refuse to work when given the opportunity stinks.
Another question: Who the (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) is going to pay for this? My grandkids or my great grandkids?

When the current $25-30 trillion is paid back, then they can start on the next. Our grandkids won't live long enough to touch it. Imagine what the debt will be 25 yrs from now.

Buying votes like a Democrat. The Republicans used to buy votes with tax cuts, which result in more debt and little stimulus. So yes, they are now buying them like Democrats. The vote should be 99-1 in the Senate. Here's the CARES ACT vote: " Late in the night of March 25, 2020, the Senate passed the $2 trillion bill in a unanimous 96–0 vote. Four Republicans did not vote: John Thune was "feeling ill" and Rand Paul had tested positive for coronavirus); Mitt Romney and Mike Lee were both in isolation after contact with Senator Paul.[7]"

When the current $25-30 trillion is paid back, then they can start on the next. Our grandkids won't live long enough to touch it. Imagine what the debt will be 25 yrs from now. As of May 1, 2020 federal debt held by the public was $19.05 trillion and intragovernmental holdings were $5.9 trillion, for a total national debt of $24.95 trillion.[5][6] At the end of 2019, debt held by the public was approximately 79.2% of GDP,[7][8] and approximately 37% of the debt held by the public was owned by foreigners.[9] The United States has the largest external debt in the world. In 2017, the US debt-to-GDP ratio was ranked 43rd highest out of 207 countries.[10] The Congressional Budget Office forecast in April 2018 that debt held by the public will rise to nearly 100% of GDP by 2028, perhaps higher if current policies are extended beyond their scheduled expiration date.[11] 19.05 trillion is our real national debt. It will never be paid back. It just gets inflated away. This years debt is mostly I believe money created by the Federal reserve to lend to the government, which ends up just being an increase in the money supply (inflation). The fed owned bonds are intragovernmental holdings like the ssi bonds. They are not scored that way though.

Maybe Biden will do yall better. I won't vote for Biden or Trump, but when (I guess "if" so everybody won't scream about the polls being rigged and wrong) Trump loses in November he has nobody to blame but himself. Beating Biden should have been a lay up--even with Covid and the rioters.

I dont see how Trump could be re-elected with the country in the state its in under his administration. Can anyone explain how he could ever be re-elected? For the record I hope he does get elected. The alternative will be a worse disaster.?Is that the thinking-is that even possible?
