Thanks Hornady. i'm going to get mine tomorrow. I'm going to Walmart. There and Dick's are the only two places nearby that still sell them. Three of the placers I used to get them, local hardware stores, stopped selling them over the years, the last one stopped last year.
I know you can get them online but i think it would be great if the PGC incentivized local mom and pop stores to sell them again. Everyone of the store owners I talked to said the said thing: "Too much of a hassle and no money in it."
Eh...wot?

Thanks Bruce. Sorry to hear that Lug. I haven't been in Walmart since January. Luckily I can still get my tags at 2 local hardware stores. The old general store at Boyer's Junction is here I got mine for many, many years. The owner was a WW II combat marine and a great guy. He had mounts all over the store. It was an annual tradition to go there and get your license the same day every year. There were always 15-20 of us hanging out waiting to get licenses. That was back before PALS when one of the stock boys had to write all our information down on forms copied with carbon paper while we all stood around and jawed with each other and the owner. I miss those days.

Looks like some are already being sold who is getting those? Land owners in the PGC's CoOp program can get one early if they go to their CT.

i think disabled vets get tags early. A camp member who passed away last year always had his prior to the drawing. He was a disabled Vietnam vet.

Just back from Walmart. There was a pretty long line of wait-until-the-last-minute folks like me.
I told the women everything but otter. She asks, "So if it walks or flies you shoot it?" I didn't reply.
She gets down to the bobcat tag and is reading out loud, "Must have a senior Combo license or..."
I finished her sentence for her, "...a Furtakers Licence."
"Oh yeah, I must have missed that," she says.
Did I mention I miss the old days at Boyer's Junction General Store? LOL
Eh...wot?

dang we get 2 buck tags and 3 doe tags then i can go buy all the doe tags i want That is about what Delaware is, I get 4 antlerless tags, I buy 2 antlered tags then I can buy unlimited antlerless tags for $20 each (which I think is dumb, it was $10). Maryland región B is still my favorite that I hunt. 2 antlered deer, no more than 1 during each season, but you can buy a third tag to use to take a second antlered deer in one season or to use in the third. Kind of confusing but I guess that is the rule. 15 archery antlerless whitetail, 10 muzzleloader antlerless and 10 firearm rifle/shotgun antlerless. Any antlerless deer on NWR’s are extra and don’t go toward your limit. Then there is sika deer. 3 archery, 3 firearm and 3 muzzleloader no more than one each season can be antlered.
Stop over cooking your meat! It isn’t gamey, it’s over cooked!

Yeah a slight difference. ![laugh laugh](/forum/images/graemlins/default/laugh.gif) Virginia didn’t report how many hunters for some reason. Pennsylvania on a roll Delaware only sells about 18,000 licenses and we killed a touch over 16,000 this year so we got no dog in that fight.

It’s always been that way in this state. There used to be even more hunters decades ago. An increase in predators, including raptors, and a decrease in cover has led to a major decline in small game populations. But even with a large amount of hunters we still have, hunting in this state is pretty good if you take advantage of all the different game and seasons.
I spent $154.00 on my licenses today. For that I get to kill one buck deer, three turkeys, one black bear, hunt pheasant, rabbit, squirrel, woodcock and grouse. I can trap an unlimited amount of coyote, fox possums, skunks, coon. I can trap one fisher, hunt or trap one bobcat and trap a bunch of beaver depending on the WMU. I can hunt deer with a bow and arrow, a rifle or a muzzleloader.
Doe tags will cost me $6.90 each and I always get three or four. I usually get three deer a year.
I almost forgot, I can also enter for a chance to hunt a Pennsylvania elk.
All in all, I think it’s worth the money. In fact, I think it would be cheap at twice the price.
Eh...wot?
