I don't believe this is at all correct. The virus is not mutating like a common cold virus (or a flu virus) from what I understand.

But let's get back to the OPs issue of masks. Now they tell us that transmission is NOT by surfaces OR by those who are asymptomatic. That leaves those that ARE symptomatic and are coughing and spewing virus laden droplets that can infect others. We have also been told that a simple medical mask or bandana, etc provides no protection for those wearing them but we need to wear them to protect others. How does that work? If a person has no symptoms why do they need to wear a mask to protect others if asymptomatic spread is not an issue? A symptomatic person should be staying home, not going out in public, and they probably are not going out anyway if they are feeling poorly. If they MUST go out, they are the people that need to wear a mask. It seems to me the only reason everybody needs to wear a mask is to prevent those who are symptomatic and wearing a mask to protect others are not recognized as such and ostracized.

As far as the spread goes, I will go back to what I have been saying here for months now. We need to protect the vulnerable populations and control the spread so that our hospital resources are fully utilized but not exceeded. That will achieve herd immunity with the lowest number of deaths and in the shortest time.

There was two doctors on the Ingram angle a couple nights ago that really believe hydroxychloroquine has been effective with her patients. She said it was so safe that it should be allowed to be sold over the counter. They said the problem was the infected people not being treated soon enough with what’s available.She said it wasn’t safe unless used in doses five and six times greater than a proposed.

Or maybe the Deep State never should have released the virus in the first place.

News today said NE New Mexico has a 27% positive testing rate. Think I'd wear a mask and walk backward.

Why are the numbers so bad in the US vrs other countries? Because we test more people. More tests = higher numbers. Maybe places like China are lying about their numbers? Fact Check: The worse county by far is Mckinley with 5% infection rate and it is in NW New Mexico. Pretty much the rest of the State is under 1%.
