Has anybody had problems with setting jump traps on your leg, it’s super difficult because one side pops up so the spring can’t compress and when you hold the other side down so you can actually compress the spring It doesn’t work because you dont have free fingers close enough to mess with the dog. Glad I only bought one to try out. Probably gonna trade it.

Size 1, I can set em but it’s much easier to set a coilspring or long spring. The spring on mine is super strong too. Almost like new.

I’m doing it just like video but it just and working right. I know it’s not because I’m not strong enough because I can set bigger traps in my hand just fine. Maybe something is up with my trap.

Try stepping on it to set it. You might have to put something under the frame on the spring end of the trap. Some jump traps can be tough.

You just need to eat your wheaties, LOL. Naw, they are harder to set than a coil or longspring. It's just more about them being awkward I think.

I always had trouble with the #4's if I couldn't get my feet on them.I understand that Onehandsetters makes a setter for those. Not sure about the smaller sizes. That would sure help,if you had a problem setting them.

Take a like new Blake & Lamb #4 Jump trap
and try setting it by hand without your feet.

They are dang difficult but I am just able to do it.

They and the Victor #4 are about the strongest
and most difficult trap there is to set.

Probably why they fell out of favor.

If a beaver gets in one, they ain't getting away.

I have to step on the levers of the new Duke 650 and I don’t hang my head when I say it. Those things are for grown folks!
