Now in many cases,it seems we are our own worst enemy. I find it very hard to believe how things have changed.
Making fun of those members that are not the best at spelling and organizing their posts or thoughts.
Name calling and degrading those that wear a mask--calling them sheep or sheeple.
Its time to quit all this crap and reunite as trappers, the smallest and most likely outdoor group to lose what we love--TRAPPING.

On the trapping part of this site, I think we all agree. However, you are posting this on Trapper talk. We are not drones and all have different opinions. Like any family we can argue amoung ourselves but circle the wagons when attacked from outside. I see nothing wrong here.

I think there's some that like a little give and take and there's those that dont like it so much and then there's some that just seem to want to stack it on to make themselves feel smart. Sometimes I may go a little far when I feel strongly on a subject but just sticking it to somebody for the fun of it might be a little far. I do think there's some difference between a heated debate and just stacking it on someone.

I agree with Tom, that we could be kinder to each other, but I don't see much of a change in the forum in the 10 years I've been here.

The 'players' have changed though, The worst of them got the axe, only to be replaced by a new bunch. Same hate and discontent from 'certain' members.

The banter between FRIENDS is entertaining to read, and is harmless. DOG PILE ON Leftlane. grin

I'm with Finster. There is a line and I crossed it not to long ago and got a short vacation. That's what Paul and the mods do, when we cross the line, we get our upandcomings, as we should.
If they're ok with it, why aren't you? Just because we may argue doesn't mean we are mortal enemies either (we do need to remember that) and that we are divided, we're freakin trappers. I still have deep discussions and sometimes arguments with kin, but, you mess with them and I'll come at ya like a spider monkey.

Great post and I agree with the sentiment. I’m a newbie and don’t agree with a few folks on here about some things, and could chose not to participate in those posts, but it’s entertaining and I shape my views off the posts of those with different views as well. I’m impressed with how these disagreements generally don’t carry over to posts about other subjects (trapping questions, how to, etc).

The take away for me is people disagree on everything, we at least know we agree on our love for trapping, and gotta stand united.

Always someone trying to push their views onto everyone else. That's why we have moderators, and they do a very good job.
I hear Leftlane found a woman that likes the same tobaccy that he chews. This could be serious.

I think trap talk is a mental trapping game in print. Watch them set the trap, and then bait and lure until they make the catch.
From what is learned by reading T-man, the dumb ones seem to get caught first. Some wring off. Some like cage trapping get caught multiple times.
With the colony sets they sometimes catch multiples.
From this point of view it is entertaining if you are aware of what's taking place.

I am with Finster. Most is just people having some fun. Yes feeling will get hurt to some with thin skin. I have crossed the line more than once and was called out for it. But if I wanted to only to talk trapping I would go to stickley trapping. It's fun to pick on our neighbors over the border and the southern boys but it's all in jest. Would enjoy sitting around a campfire with any members on here and all the Pa. boys.

Upstate NY--Why should I have to go to the Trapping only forum, because some on here want to act like donkeys?
Being asked to be more civil to fellow trappers, shouldn't bother anyone.Unless being civil isn't possible for them.
