Don't know if this is considered adveertising or not, but if it is, Paul, pull it down and 'scuse me, please...

I'm bringing out a second volume of Bad Birds turkey tales. If interested, email me at modernmountainman@gmail.com and I'll send you the ordering info and details. Thanks.

Well, it is, but I'll let it go considering the good you've done for us. I'm thinking in specifically about all those traps you donated as part of the fund raiser for Donnie. You done good on that!

What is bad birds turkey tales? Book, video, blog???

Thanks much, Paul. If it becomes a problem, though, yank it. To answer your question, Bad Birds 2 is a softcover book.

Mudrat, shut up. Look on my ID tag there. It says "Resident jerk" and I try hard to live up to that. And keep on feedin' those ground buzzards.

Jim has a very good article in the September Trapper magazine, he is spot on with his assessment of what trappers are up against. The article is called:, Disconnected, Different Perspectives (An essay on what it truly means to appreciate wildlife). He really captures the spirit of what a true trapper is, and the relationship they have with nature, outdoor types and non outdoor types. Give it a read if you get The Trapper, it is well worth your time.

Yes Gerald, excellent article.

That “resident jerk” sure was harsh when he invited us Yankees from our deer camp in the mountains for a real southern catfish meal with Grits and all. I’ll never forget the time I got to spend with Jim and Jill that fall afternoon/evening. Thank you once again you “resident jerk”!!

Hi John, thanks. My son in law and I (I introduced him to you last summer at the NTA convention) were planning a trip to Oscoda this summer to fish the lower AuSable and Lake Huron and maybe that hot walleye bay you told us about up north of Oscoda somewhere, but life and COVID got in the way. Maybe next year...

Thanks, Joe. I'll miss getting my annual Joe Goodman T-shirt this year. Guess I'll have to buy two in 2021.
