As long as you learn from losing, yes.

The casino here offers curbside service. Just pull up out front and they'll come out and take your money.

Depending on the contest, there's really only one winner, most times there are a LOT of losers in each contest.

This sounds almost like losing is okay when something greater than losing can be achieved?

I wonder if that is taught anywhere today.

I have done a lot of losing in my lifetime but gained a lot of knowledge and life lessons by doing so.
Losing can teach one self-discipline and humility.

Depending on the situation. I mean reality is some one has to lose and your not going to win 100 percent of the time. How ever it depends on how you lose. If you give it everything you got and whoever or whatever team just beats you because they are better, no shame in that. However people these days and age are ok with losing and don't put effort into anything because even if you lose there is still hand out, rewards and someone there to pick you up. That goes with life these days people lose at that everyday. They don't know respect, hard work, how to get things on their own, or how to achieve Goals because you failed. What happens when you come from a generation of everyone's a winner.

Had a boss tell me once failure is ok if a lesson is learnt from it. However people's lessons are how to get things handed to them when they do fail most of the time this day and age and it's sad.

I have lost many times playing games with my kids. I have even lost a few arguments with my wife. I also loose a little sanity each day I go to work. I don't go to the casino so I don't loose there.

Absolutely. It's important to lose when a disadvantaged opponent gets frustrated, feeling demoralized or begins to lose interest. Ever introduce a child to checkers?

Personally I think casinos and gambling are a horrible vice. If you're the type who can get some enjoyment out of good shows and cheap food for your hundred dollar loss during a fun night out more power to you. If you're the type who has earned free meal tickets, free show tickets and free transportation to a casino and you find yourself boasting how well you do you're only fooling yourself.

Our high school was small and rural compared to the rest within the district. I played most of the school sports during my high school years. We learned to accept losing really well, lol.

I disagree. People today are not okay with losing because they see no value in it. They miss the lesson part that would make them better. They value themselves so little when they are beaten/lose, they lose their minds right along with whatever competition they were in.

It should be outlawed. Or at least demonized.
In honesty I fail to see the point of this question without more info
