That kid was so cool under pressure it is hard to believe. Great control shown as he only expended as many rounds as needed. No innocent bystanders hit and to keep moving toward police with confidence and control of his weapon. I can't imagine how much adrenalin he had pumping. He must have been training for quite some time to be able to protect himself and come out of a gun fight relatively unscathed.

Hope his lawyer gets him out of any trouble and the memories of that night don't haunt him the rest of his life.

I think it will be a Ground breaking , MCDonnnaled or hellier type case that will set the standard for may years to come.

on it's merits , he was trying to retreat, he was in danger of death or great bodily harm and all that were shot were armed.

If hes charged with 1st degree homicide and they can't get that to stick, is he still on the hook for a lesser charge like 2nd degree? Or is it all or none? As usual, the media seems to be suppressing a lot of the facts.

Our local news station has an article about Kyle and one about James at the top of the page, Kyle is shown in a wooded setting holding an AR, while James is shown smiling with 4 kids. Probably couldn't find a graduation pic of him to use.

I don't know anything about that law firm, but hopefully they're good. This young man will need it. It'll be tough to pick a fair jury I would think.

Only charge that might stick is minor in possession of dangerous firearm.
And that won't stick if he's had training equiv. to Hunter safety.

hope woods put the covid case aside and consentrates on this one.

I could see him getting stuck with a disturbung the peace misdemeanor.

He'll maybe try to plea bargain and plead guilty to a charge of open carrying as a minor & for violating the curfew. Hopefully the rioters don't rally again when this kid is determined innocent of murder.
There'll probably be some lawsuits too.

It seems the riots largely ended after this kid took action. Maybe that is why the cops were thanking the vigilantes & giving them bottles of h20.

I wonder why those that got shot would try to go after this kid that night. 'Seems like they were asking for trouble.

His friend that borrowed him the gun will maybe get sued is my guess. Maybe the friend didn't know this kid was going to open carry in Wi though.

From what I have seen about the shooter, he seems like a pretty good kid. He was helping to scrub off graffiti, he was performing EMT duties. In fact that night he was giving first aid to some of the scumbags. I believe I read that he wanted to become an officer. I believe he made a very poor decision going to that town although I'm not passing blame. I don't think a riot is any place for a 17 year old kid. My biggest question is where was this kids parents and what did they know about the entire situation? Did they know he was going? If they did, are they morons?

6 charges and 5 are pure bogus, in my opinion only the carrying under age has a chance and that is in my opinion still slight at best if he gets a fair trial, which is probably not likely considering the governor of the state and makeup of much of the rest of the government there, to me it looks like it will be up to the jury and hopefully they know they have the right to nullify, or understand the right to self defense, most don’t or haven’t but it looks like a lot are beginning to wake up and see what’s happening for what it is not what their trying to force feed them

If they try to keep Kyle incarcerated (doesn't seem likely, but if), then we need to remember our history. (Racine and Kenosha share a county border.)
