Roundup will not kill the seeds, I am pulling up quackgrass in the lawn this week, some seeds left is better than all of them left.

There just isn't a good answer for weeds and unwanted grasses. Roundup will kill the growing plant, but then more seeds will sprout and come up in the same place. Then you need a pre-emergent to kill the sprouting seeds. I fight dandelions, sandburs, puncturevine, bindweed. I'd like to know how to kill sandburs. It looks like grass, then this time of year they produce the burs at the last minute. Argh.

In the end an old fashioned hoe is an indispensable garden tool. Aerate the soil and kill weeds. Yes it is labor intensive but the reward is worth it.
