Any one interested in a White17 wolverine set contest? Entries must set a wolverine set White17 style (up in a tree and wolverine must hang like a marten humainly dispatched). I believe the White17 design is a snare not sure if a connibear would be allowed. Ruling from White17?

I'll venture to guess that the snare be 1x19 I'd be all over this but our Mt FWP doesn't want us catching any wolverines down here I think it's because Ken's methods are to effective for use down here .

I think this is what Muskrat has in mind. This is the goal. One word of caution. Make sure there is no way that wolverine can get his feet on the ground. Extra points given for elevation

Being laid off, I might go for it. Buddy who's caught dozens of them swears by porkypine carcass as bait. He splits open belly, hangs it up in stunted spruce, sets 330 or snares at base cubby. That's a great picture of marten-wolverine double.

Then the first guy with a verified picture of a wolverine hanging from a White17 wolverine set is the winner. White17 would you be the judge? Would not prevent you from also competing. This will really be fun, I'm excited for November now. Catching a wolverine in a Connibear is. Going to be disappointing now. No it's not catching holy is always exciting.

I don't know. We get too many snare pole sets out there we could over harvest the wolverine population.!!!
I'll second the feet off the ground statement. Even one foot and they will keep spinning!

To sweeten the pot, I will throw in a print for the winner . Classic behaviour they love to exploit , stealing from the trapper . That will surely motivate a White17 set !
