Congratulations on catching the wolf that made the trip worthwhile any idea what it weights ? How many are in that pack ? Hopefully this is just the beginning of many more wolves caught !

Id guess it weighs about 75 pounds Allen. Young wolf. There’s about 9-10 in the pack by the looks of it. I’ve got more traps set for them along their route so yeah hopefully I catch more

I took Morgan and bobby out setting snares last night in -32c (-25.6f). I got them to set 2 each for now while I set two #3s. It’s all on a trail about 5 minutes from home. That little trail has produced a lot of lynx over the years. Pulled 28 out of there on my best year. There’s a lot of lynx sign so it’s just a matter of time before the kids connect. Morgan said she hopes her brother catches first because she’s already caught some lynx in her life. I forgot my phone so no pictures but I’ll be sure to bring it when we go to check them.

Thanks Ben. Good to hear from you. I miss your journal and pictures. Kids get to check their snares today.
