Was checking out u joints an watch u tube vid of what do an how check, as hear some noises sometimes. Probly tires overinflated a couple pounds an warm weather , shocks worn but not completly worn out on front. Is noise. U joints an rubber an cups look good, out I'm neutral, no play W hen try wiggle up an down by hand, the whole transfer case move a little when try to see if play by move by hand, on u joint an driveshaft. Can u damage transfer case by doing this ? If move end drive shaft up an down to see if play. By hand on transfer case end ? I had fluid in case change awhile ago, transfer cases are very expensive. Also does anyone know what normal for what clutch engages if have master clutch cylinder, how far pedal goes out bfore engage. Mine is at least last 3/4 out , bfore start engage

Transfer case will move due to the mount having a rubber block in it. Best way to check u joints is just pull the drive shaft. Try moving the u joints on each end and see if they're binding. Be careful not to knock the caps off and lose the needle bearings. Oh that why transfer case move. That won't do nothing to it, front u joint look exellent. Back. One more rust but caps in right position. Rubber good, an tight no play by rear end. Try figgure out as todsy I downshift to 4 th an noise. But not do it after work, maybe something on road a piece metal hit or was truck noise but not do it nomore, unless clutch act up

On Tman, the correct spelling is vechile. Been that way awhile now. Generally the U-joint that sits at the most angle wears the worst. And yes, you can find slack by wiggling the driveshaft, if they're bad enough to be making noise. They generally start out squeaking when they run out of grease long before you can feel it.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

And a lot of times that squeak is more evident in reverse at low speeds. Like backing out of parking spots.

Are you seriously going to do a lot of trapping Dave? Coon? Mink? Rats?
Have as much fun as you can afford. Gary G. will be running a route right before Christmas and then a clean up route in Feb. or March. Betting make sure your freezers are working. LLL

I've isolated the squeaky uj by spraying them one at a time until the squeak stopped.
