before I posted in the trap shed, thought id see if there would be an interest......i'm in some serious financial trouble and i'm gonna have to sell some.....I would include a display frame......I must put out there that these are not el cheapo 30 dollar artifacts.........some of them would go easily in the 100 or better dollar price range. I would sell as a group

Adam, if they are surface finds and on private land, they are perfectly legal to sell. It's only when they are from state or Federal land or are from burials, that the legality comes into question. That's the way it was, unless something more recent has occurred.

They have to be found on private lands (with signed written permission) any found on public land or water can be collected with the proper permits and licenses.

I'm surprised to hear that any permits or licenses are available for taking artifacts off of public land. Maybe if you're affiliated with a university or other accredited archaeology department?
