Those look great. Seems like a lot of work, till you sit down to homegrown fried chicken, mashed taters and gravy and put up homegrown sweet corn. Won't find chicken like that in the store. You got that right!

Here’s a pic of the setup lol. And here’s what I use to pluck the feathers. I made this from a 4” PVC cap and added these plucker fingers I bought from the farm supply store. Attach it to the drill, my wife holds the drill down like in the pic and I hold the chicken against it. It works real good! A pic of you...when your were done plucking...would have gone viral ! .........and maybe got you on the Bachelor...

My 14 year old daughter and I did a dozen Freedom Rangers earlier this year. We weren't fast, but we got a great product. We skun rather than plucked. I sure didn't miss that hot, wet feather smell! We butchered them right at 10 weeks. Planning on 2 dozen next year. Your shrink wrapped birds look great. Nice! Soon you’ll be up to 50 and wake up with a sore back after and want to go back to 12 lol. I know I do!

great job, we use to do 150 birds, very year when I was young That is a ton of work! I’d have that spread out for the week lol. Nice work! We just butchered the 6 cornish cross that survived the duratio. They were 10 weeks and averaged 7 lbs. Me and my 4 daughters did the work. All under 12 years old. We skinned them instead of plucking. The wife wanted some boneless skinless breasts. The 11 year old jumped in and did the cutting. She did good too. Legs, thighs and wings in separate bags too. We use the heat shrink bags too. Got 30 more ready in early Nov. I take them into a place that that'll butcher and has a USDA inspection incase I plan to sell a few. For $2 a bird it ain't too bad. Whole birds skin on and shrink wrapped. Cool! Can’t go wrong at $2 a bird. At that price I would never butcher a chicken again! It’s $6/bird here. Kinda steep!

Looks like you left a half a chicken on the high chair for the child!!!!! Lol, that would be her sippy cup and bib. Just started feeding her solid food about a week ago!
