Dirk was the owner of High Plaines Professional Lures for many years and was a regular at conventions throughout the states. Antelope, the original fast food!!

He was a tough bugger, fought liver problems for many years, and I'm pretty sure he had two liver transplants. Was delt a tough hand for sure. Never once heard him complain though. RIP my old friend! I bought a few different predator lures, a very heavy duty dirt sifter and a nice digger hammer from him. Later I provided him with some bobcat catch pictures and at least one showed up in his catalog. He was always easy to talk to and very pleasant to be around. He also gave an interesting beaver skinning demonstration. If I am not mistaken, i think he went to Alaska and fished crab a few times. The world is a much poorer place without him in it. RIP Dirk. If anyone knows where I can get one of his hammers, please PM me.
