Hi guys. I am looking to do some reading on anything outdoor/survival/mountain man related.
Not looking so much for "how to" books, mostly I guess "stories and adventures".

Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Terry C Johnson, "Carry The Wind " series. (Mountain Men novels)

For 'vintage' / 'modern', Hunting, Fishing, Safari books

Robert C Ruark, "The Old Man and The Boy" , "The Old Man's Boy Grows Older" , "Use Enough Gun".

Jim Carmichel, books.

Peter Hathaway Capstick, books

That should keep you busy. smile

agree with Carry the Wind and the Ruark and Capstick books.
"He'll I Was There" by Elmer Keith is about HIM, a cowboy who became a cartridge inventor and HUGE gun writer. (remove the " for the title)--what was cool is I used to live in parts of Idaho he spent time, and I been in his house in Salmon. His widow Lorraine let us come in, in bout '85.
