Friend of mine in england told me about Airedales he'd met. Guy who ran a shoot had a pair. Rick reckons they were the loveliest, softest goof's ye could wish to meet.

So, one day, the guys were meeting up to head out when some foaming at the mouth anti appeared. This guy was ranting and raving. Getting really quite hysterical. The Airedales were sat in the back of the truck, looking on.

As the lunatic gets ever more excited, the shoot boss said loon had better calm down, else he'd have to release the Dogs. Rick thought; " Oh, no! Please don't try to bluff this loon with those sweethearts! They wouldn't hurt a fly! "

Lunatic took it up a level. Guy told the Dogs to Go! Rick said he'd never seen anything like it. Said he remembered thinking; " OMG!!! They're Eating him!!! "

Get one from hunting stock and expose em to what you want them to hunt and you'll have the best dog you've ever had.

Do they do well in snow and cold, or are they inside dogs?

The guy I bought mine from said they love the snow and colder weather, said a lot of time in the winter he will come out and can see where they have been laying in the snow instead of there dog houses. Here’s a picture of my pup

I got one .SO so nose ,so so eyes , Watch out for over bite ,some with it being sold . She is my buddy but I have had better ( Airedale lab X was the BEST ) nose ,eyes and attitude . He could find my lost sets under 2 ft of snow in 5 seconds .Nose ,eyes and willing to go in water and retrieve are BIG time.

They do great in the cold snow, much better than my cur. mines actually a littermate to Lee’s Airedale/jagdt mutt.

Great pic of your dog in action, Turd! My dog loves to do the same, play razzle dazzle with them yotes, but gotta stay on her or I think my yotes would be neckked! Dang she likes to pull fur out of them! She has learned to respect them fangs, and it's been several yearrs since she has been i a trap.

Check out "Red-Line Airedales." These are the blood-line I used for years. Matt Thom in AZ breeds some fine Airedales. We shared the same foundation stock. I have had many years of success with Airedales and many happy memories. Treat them as a family member, NOT like most people treat hunting dogs (hounds). They desire to please. Reward not punishment is the language they understand. They are quick studies and repetition bores them!

The Airedale Heeler cross I have will even do things I've taught him not to if I tell to twice. He has to look at me at least once to make sure it's ok.
