:)Well it rained all day yesterday , so im in the shed just piddling around and my son calls and said lets go bow hunting . i told him we were going to get wet . So we meet at hunting property and go set in a two man ladder stand, its a little tight for both of us . We sit there for about an hour , he ask have you ever killed a buck in the rain like this and i remined him of two different days that i killed big bucks in the rain > about an hour later He said im giong to go get in your climber stand . So off he goes . About 6:15 he calls and said i just shot a big buck. I climb down from my stand and go over too him We wait 45 minutes and its getting dark, so we go to the last place he seen it and look for an hour ,nothing no blood because of the rain . We call it quits for the night . He and his friend found the deer this morning twenty yards from where i was last night , a nice nine pointer . He s on his way to the taxidermy . So much for hunting in the rain

My son is the lucky one . when he first got into the club after getting out of the navy I interduced him at his first meeting and told everyone that he shoots bigger deer than me . A few of them chuckled . well he is determined to hunt he loves it , I will shoot a legal deer for meat , so i think thats why he shoots bigger deer . He will wait until its one that he wants.

We hunt all the time togeather . He was going with me at age of three . i have pictures and a news paper clipping of him at age 8 at md fur trappers day He caught his first fox at age 8 also. Its very rewarding to have company while being outdoors. I have a grandson that i would like to take , but he s not quite ready yet, mabe soon he will be ready.
