Kids being kids is all. Who's property did they steal? I don't know of anyone who actually pays for those signs.
A good butt chewing, a good scare from a police officer, then the parents should take care of it. Some apologies are in order too.

I remember when the school Supt. left his pickup at the school parking lot back in the 70s and the cab got scooped full of snow. That was before the days of nice upholstery BTW.

1,4,and 5. We used to take beer cans that we found and line the railing of the front porch of our English teacher. It looked like he had one heck of a party some Saturday nights!!!

I remember when school buses had a drain plug in the bottom of the gas tank. That was some forward-thinking!

Agree. We may or may not have done the same thing, allegedly, including the act of putting certain peoples houses up “for sale” by placing a for sale sign from one house in the yard of the person who needed to move... All allegedly of course.

I admire the ingeniousness of the prank. I think it was kids being kids, but their should be minor consequences, from the law, if not the school.

Best prank I've heard of , but, no I wasn't involved , but wished I had. Old roommate of mine grew up in Poughkeepsie, NY. He went to Arlington High School. They had an auditorium with a domed roof. One night , late , they took a VW Beetle that had been completely stripped , towed it to the HS with a chain. Proceeded to set up ramps and orange crates on the low side of the building as it was built into the hillside. Pushed the VW into place on top of the dome , set the E brake on it and collected all the boards and crates. Next day the students and staff returned to find it there. They could not figure out how it was done. They hired a crane to remove it. Made the front page of the local paper. Epic
