Our Seventh-Annual FTA Chapter 20 Trapping School will be held at the in Florence MO, December 18-20 2020. We will start around 9 AM on the 18th.

Headquarters will be the Ambush Restaurant
4591 Butterfield Trail
Florence, Mo 65329

We do our best to show students the most comprehensive material we can in the three days. All types of sets for all types of furbearers are covered- a live line is run, and students will be able once again to make their own attempts at catchin' critters. This is a hands-on, all inclusive weekend. and it's FREE (donations are of course accepted!)

Other instruction will include-

LOTS of fur handling, skinning, put-up, grading, etc.
Trap Modification
Animal behavior and habits
Location, location, location(s)
Tanning
And of course, more.

We have sleeping accommodations (bring a cot). A complete list of what's, when's and where's will be provided serious inquiries.

Our goal with this school is to provide the student with an intense, fact-filled weekend full of good, solid trapping advice. We have a good time, too.

Traps will be set on several hundred acres of mostly farm/crop land. Last years' event saw several species caught, and this property boasts opportunities at coyote, bobcat, red fox, beaver, otter, mink, and of course 'coon, 'possom and skunks.

Classes will be tailored to student's needs after the basic sessions are over. Students will be invited to set traps themselves provided they have a current trapping licenses. We may have to limit participation (we never have before), but if we see the need we'll schedule a second weekend.
