I never tried slam firing that old 22. Just never entered my mind. When I was a kid learning to shoot it was always about one accurate shot. Probably left over from great great grampa and muzzleloaders. It is the way I taught my kids and grandkids too. I own a 10/22 and a couple big mags for it. Has been a few years but I have played with them some. Gotta let the kid in me out once in a while. Buddy tells me all the time "dont let the old man in" . Getting harder to do every year.
