One thing you might consider is that a standard victor 1.5 coil is plenty of trap for any fox. Staked solid, with short chain, no entanglement, and well swiveled it is a very dog friendly trap. Once released, there will be no foot damage and likely no repeat offenders.

I've got some Bridger 1.5 offset and laminated but when I was trying this out in my yard I couldn't get them to bed solid so I had to use a #11 Bridger. I figured the trap being solid would offset the small target area.

The landowners have cameras and the fox hasn't shown up in about 3 weeks.

Is the dp buried at the edge of the grass?
