Pull base boards, cut door jambs, install flooring, install base boards. One closet per room, 3 rooms total + hallway and they want no thresholds so the flooring needs to flow thru as one floor. 700 square feet. Interested in the labor cost only. Square foot price?
Thanks.
Also small bathroom floor, pull linoleum, install cement board, tile and grout. Per square foot. I believe its 35'.
Thanks a bunch fellas, keep the faith in the USA....we will prevail.

I'm not a floor guy Marty , but don't forget to figure in some time touching up or refinishing the jambs and baseboards. . If base boards are paint grade you'll have to re caulk . Do it correctly and you won't have to repaint walls
This all depends on how picky your customer is
After I come up with a sq ft price I always refigure the numbers by calculating the total hrs I think the job will take x a solid hourly wage and compare it to the sq ft price.
Hope that helps

6 bucks per Square foot for laminate and 10 for the tile. Doing it all as one floor will take some good planning. Not always recommended. Laminate will expand and contract causing buckling or separation.

I don't care what the material is, I have used cheap stuff and expensive stuff. At the price I said I would make $4550 for 3 days work by myself. After that I could take the rest of the week off.

IMO, you can't bid the job without knowing the quality of the material. Is it cheap crap laminate or is it upper end engineered hardwood ? The cheaper the product, the harder it is to work with and the more it will cost to get it done. If it was one room it would be a lot cheaper than dealing with multiple doorways, closets etc. x 2

Hey Marty, I've got a spreadsheet calculator for plank flooring I can send you if you'd like. I probably have some numbers for tile somewhere too. After doing quite a bit of it and taking notes I dialed it in pretty good. It accounts for: Floor Footage Demo Baseboard LF # Doors undercut # Doors flow-through # Doors transition And maybe a couple other variables.
Quality matters, but most of the common stuff today is in the same ballpark. I can comfortably use the same numbers for any flooring that comes from a major store or supplier. Even the cheapest stuff from Depot installs fine. If its an interlocking floating plank floor, I bid it the same regardless of quality.
All that said, LVP is the way to go imo. Oh and buy the Pergo blade for your miter saw. Cut faster and save your wood blades for wood.

One more tip for you contractors on here: Homwyse.com. It's a free website for homeowners to get ballpark estimates for any kind of work, BY ZIP CODE. We all know that trade labor rates fluctuate around the country and Homewyse accounts for it. I use Homewyse to check my bids and make sure I'm within the local ballpark.

My sons building a house. The charge for snap together laminate flooring labor only is $2 a sq ft. Maybe where you are from and who you are having do it. If that is a price from a flooring store then you pay more.somewhere else. Like most places that is a base and then additional charge per room, for base removal, per door and so on.
Wish I had more time to trap....

Is it a good smooth floor or is it old and rough? 1/4" underlayment is very desirable if it's a rough floor.

How hard would it be for someone to do that job not having done one before?? Someone with carpentry skills could they do a laminated floor?? The short answer is "NO". There is a lot more to installing laminate floors than it might appear. I do flooring measures for a living and I have seen a lot of do-it-yourself floors. Usually, that's the reason I am there to measure for a professional install.
