Well said Keystone! Haven't spoke with you in a long time. Hope all is well with you! Mark, sounds like you got over ruled by granny and the kids! lol. I know the feeling, love to see the kids and grandkids, but don't want them under my feet 24-7! Women think differently about such matters. Trouble is she always knows where the Death Rays are in the shop. I don't always. I've seen her use 'em Lee. She grew up on a farm and still can get the job done. I like it when she hands me the death ray and the coyote and says here ya go..... I gotta remake my set!

Lee, I told my Mrs. last night to keep the faith and that we never steered this ship called life as much as we think we did anyway. Grandma loves people you see but she senses the world she grew up in is changing faster than we can figure out. Slow and steady is not 2020 in America by any stretch. And no president. and no Congress made it so. We all have.
Mainly, we choose who we are sealed with, good or the bad and then we roll up our sleeves and enter the fray called life. Reminded the Mrs. that the plan, mysteriously has always been known to all, but that those who chose to be sealed with the Good are going to have some rockiness the bad don't because bad hates good and good hates bad. Enmity. It's promised in Genesis 3:15. And it's true. Everyday. The bad are always crabby because they have no hope. They cling to the next so-called life raft and when that sinks they grab another. No loyalty. Just "I hope" & "I wish." The language of our times. The good however can grab a True life raft and we're sealed with it so we can't sink. Water is rough. Yes. All the bad jumping in and out of everything makes waves. So we cling to Him, His promises and endure the enmity. As we do our best. We live in a world with so little hope anymore. Families are a gift. We don't have many intact as we once did. Scripture is a revealed blessing. We don't read much as we once did. We have stuff we don't need yet too many still keep grabbing. From anywhere they can grab it. Anyhow. Anyway. The human condition has always sought answers to the big questions in this life. The answer has always been available since the first ray of sunshine opened the first flower and the hummingbird flew in to compete with care with bees and insects. Trappers, I have found, along with many outdoor people, have a love of nature that better helps us understand... Who we are sealed to.
Blessings y'all! Mark

LOL For the last several days a song has stuck in my mind. "These are the good old days." A bunch of us old folks think everything is going to H ll. What do the kids think? I know my kids have it better than I did at their age. And their kids have it better than their parents.

I have some great memories from the late 60s early 70s. It was an America that was still running on a decent measure of common sense. Now, the country is imploding. Nikita Khruschev once said America will fall without a shot being fired. It took a while, but its coming true.

There is a word for that,Lee-Nostalgia. All us oldsters feel it.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Speaking of the 50s. I remember a game we played that we called "Annie I Over". You would shout this prior to throwing a basket ball over the roof to the kids on the other side. That let them know you had thrown the ball over. They had to guess on what portion of the building you threw it. Then the side that threw the ball had to run over to the other side and tag the receiving team before they could catch the ball and run over to your side. Unlike most kids today, it didn't take much to keep us happy back then.
The difference between animals and humans is that animals would never let the dumbest ones lead the pack.

Trapper7 my boys still play that game with their cousins. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Yes but who had one of these? I trapped out of a 1973 Green Chevrolet Vega that I bought for $850... used, fixed it up and bit and sold it to my college professor for $1300. Big score back in the late 70's.
