Thanks everyone. And thank you to the SUPER MODERATOR that fixed the original picture for me.

I have nothing clever to put here.

He likely had 50 pounds of balsam and pine pitch stuck to him by spring.

Clever picture 160user. Do you know the year? From the looks of the TV in the background I would say early 50's. I see a can of Velvet tobacco on the table. I remember my father rolling cigarettes from that stuff.

That was on dads side, the Seversons. Any picture of Moms side of the family would have been in a bar.

man I could get through a whole thread and not have to change the " Ignore this poster"
The TV puts is some time past 1955-56

Almost looks like a colour print faded.

I don't understand there are no guns in the background ?

I don’t know that side of the family to be big hunters. I have heard rumors of him cooking some “bad maple syrup” and storing it in quart jars under each fence post though. smile

The Icelander's up here call that fence post jars as Spring Tonic.
The Swedes used birch as the syrup and fortified it with some good Ukrainian home brew, one timble full gave you Jelly legs
no freeze with dry ice was just the right mixture so you know the Etoh was way up there.
