What are you all paying for propane in your area??. I just paid 1.50/gallon here through Amerigas. I feel like I got hosed.

$1.78 here which I think it very high. Not sure why.A little cheaper but not much thru Amerigas.I own my own tank and Amerigas whats me to sign a user agreement drawn up by lawyers before they deliver-they can forget me buying from them.I used to order from Amerigas if the price was right but now they went all automated and its a real pain to get thru their system.

What does it cost you guys to heat your homes with propane? Thinking about getting a Rannia heater for backup heat. I was quoted .76 liter yesterday.

A 1/8" of soot on a heat exchanger in a oil furnace or boiler is equal to 3" of insulation. So your heat from the oil burner flame has to travel through that before heating either your air or water. Propane burns clean so how efficient is your oil burner ? Especially if you don't have your oil burner cleaned regularly and it's air mixture is setup properly.

The bitterness of poor quality last a lot longer than the sweetness of low price

The big question is how much will propane be after the Biden/Kerry energy taxes are added?

Run a wood boiler in the winter months here if things get crazy.

I think we put 177 gallons into our 500 gallon tank in August for a buck ten a gallon.
That will last us til next August when we refill again. In the 5 months or so of cold weather
here our outdoor boiler takes care of our heat and hot water. Takes care of my need to
exercise too. lol
