Got a 1 year old Countertop Microwave. The dang thing has been having the interior light flickering for about 2 weeks now. Cleaned the interior top to bottom. Plugged it into a different outlet. After about 3 Minutes, it started flickering again. Plugged it back into the 1st outlet . 3 minutes later, it's flickering again. I closed the door after putting a full glass of water in the Microwave. Started it up , and ran it for 2 minutes. Light is on , and the Microwave runs; but I could see the light flickering through the window on the door the whole time it was running. Like a rapid strobe light effect.

Any idea what could be causing it to do that?

Thanks,

Correction: Got it back in January 2020. . So, it's less than a year old.

Made in China likely?
I paid $40something for a pair of shoes that make my feet swell up and itch. I don't trust anything from China anymore.

I would guess the light is an LED. In my experience when they go bad they start to flicker like that. If you can replace it, do that. If not I guess you have a tough choice to make. Either put that thing down, like an injured deer on the side of the road, or look the other way, the choice is yours.

The microwave capacitor remains energized with high voltage even after the microwave is unplugged, I wouldn't go beyond - trying a new bulb.

How much could there be in a Microwave? It's just plugged into a 120 volt outlet
