I buy straight gas for small engines. Boat, lawn mower, chainsaw, four wheeler. Ethanol is incredibly corrosive. A lot of older small engines will have problems after awhile if you use ethanol

Ethanol in gasoline is worse for the environment, engines, farmers, taxpayers... everyone.

I run straight gas in my Toyota even in my old D50 it looks like over time straight gas will be fazed out in the near future, a lot of places here offer 2 types of leaded gas only.

E-10 vs E-85 when I tried it I lost enough mileage that it wasn't worth the lower price of the E-85
no longer have anything that can burn E-85
I get the ethanol free 91 octane for my small engines and chain saws , I use a little startron in that gas pulled out my chain saw after 9 months of sitting with a full tank of startron treated gas and fired and ran on the 2nd pull
it always takes one pull choke out to pop and one pull choke in to then run

After having some problems in the past, now I use only ethanol free in all our small engine applications. Only one place in town that sells it, and it is a good bit more expensive, but no problems now. Well worth the extra cost. one 50 dollar carburetor makes it look cheap in comparison though doesn't it. especially if you paid a shop to make the repair.

Gas from state to state varies also WI has a better grade of gas then SD 40+ miles more per tank with WI gas.

Gas here is about $5.50 a gallon but very little difference between 10% ethanol and pure gas.
Funny, that if you are next to a larger town, you might have the choice, but as I get closer to the farm they only sell non-ethanol.
I never noticed the mileage difference because I drive diesel.

You need to run a couple tanks before you can figure the real mileage difference. This. And I think it can vary a lot from vehicle to vehicle.

Straight gas in everything! Mowers,boats,cars,trucks.
Only use drunk gas when I have too.
Tried E-85 once in my truck. Mileage was crap,20 mpg gas to 12 mpg E-85 and exhaust smelled terrible. Nothing but booze smell.
WISH I HAD MORE TIME TO TRAP!

Don’t run e-85 in anything if you can help it.its hard on motors. Especially boat motors and small engines.

my experience is i lose 10-15 %there for making 10% ethanol sterile...... i truly believe we would use less crude oil if we did not use ethanol.....The only way this works is if we use pure ethanol and propel ourselves down the road....... many studys have been done and corn ethanol falls short of being economicaly viable !!! its one of the biggest follies of my lifetime!!

I'm sure that I'm wrong, but I think "straight gas" went out the window years ago...unless you're getting it at an airport.
