The sunsets in Kansas are amazing for sure but those sunrises in Kansas take the cake!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! I look forward to having a trip worth sharing!

I got my portable skinning rig ready for the 880 mile trip out there! I use a hand boat winch to skin out there. Its not as nice as my power winch but it still works good where I’m going.

120 gallons of waxed dirt ready to make the 14 hour trip.

It looks like the weather leading up to the trip has been a little drier than last year!

Last year there was a 2 inch rain before we got there.

How long will it take for the roads to recover from a 1/2 inch?

That is what I was hoping for.

The first year we had -10 temps and it stayed cold except for two days.

The second trip had -16 temps on the way there and it stayed cold most of the days.

The third trip had gumbo mud with impassable roads.
