Everyone around here does, they are pretty lax about it. Been a few times when we had alot of rain, that I took mine instead of the yota, and went many miles around my whole line with the side by side. Your title, Wyoming Kansas, made me think you were asking about the tiny community just north of me about six miles. That wide spot, is now called Lillis, Ks, but when it was settled in the 1860's, it was called Wyoming, Ks. Little history lesson for ya!

Is it legal to drive side by side on county roads. They are driven on town & county roads here.
