What is your all's thoughts on Remington Arms. Will they loose value for the firearms you own and how hard will it be to get repairs or parts. Now that they are bankrupt.

Value will stay the same and there are plenty of superior after market replacement parts available.

Their core products like the 700 and 870 will hold value as they have become somewhat an "industry standard" in many areas and there is a large existing aftermarket parts and customizing market.

The value of old guns is always dependent upon the the gun itself.
It has nothing to do with current state of the manufacture.

My 1986 and 1987 Rem 700 BDLs shoot as good as ever. If anything, Rem going belly up might increase the value of the older and better ones still out there if no more of that quality will be made. For example, it seems to me the demand for old Marlins, the J M's, is as strong or stronger than ever. If you follow the Ruger forum you will see that it is questionable if Ruger will correct the Marlin quality issues suffered under Remington management. Unlike in the days of Bill Ruger, they now have a lot of quality issues with their existing product line and a policy of fixing problems found by customers instead of making sure there are no problems.

They will sell the parts inventory as part of the bankrupt deal you would think.

an 870 express shotgun that was 200 dollars at a gun show used but like new 2 years ago almost impossible to find in stock and selling for 400 or more

Ruger PCC that was 449 in nov of 2019 is 659 now

I don't think we have to wait

I sold a New 870 Express 12 Ga. on Gunbroker for $785 last week. I would say there values went up. Watched 870 Wingmaster 12 ga. Go for $1880 too. They are hot right now!

Unless we look at from a liberal perspective, if certain or all guns would be banned we can just be like all the thugs in the liberal cesspools. We’ll just obtain them illegally and no one will care!!! They’ll just keep a tally on how many were shot and how many were injured like the news does.

They will hold value and continue to go up in price. Also, the new purchaser is supposed to be working on opening back up small and slowly.
