Cut the end off a finger in a table saw when I was 18 Incredible surgeon fixed it up really well. I had chill all over when I seen that and knew right away!!! Best of luck.

My buddy cut his thumb off with one a month ago and they couldn't save it. Hope it heals quickly

Thats why I use the bandsaw to trim my nails! Hope that wasn't your trigger finger!

On the plus side, you may have your own weather station now. You will know when the weather will change, like to rain or snow and may also be able to figure temp on how numb it is.
How would I know? Saw had a trigger fail while ripping a board, saw was running fine, let go of trigger, it stopped. Moved to get another angle and saw started on it's own and crawled out of the kerf and over the top of my thumb.
You will learn not to bump that for a few months.

Yep, I'd agree. Did the same thing skinning a beef years ago. Cut it all the way to the fingernail from the pad side. They sewed it back together. It turned black, ended up going to a plastic surgeon. He cut a bunch off and fixed me up. But if it's cold and I thump the end, woo boy

You’re in better shape than my uncle when he did that the doctors had reattach them at the hand.

Ouch. Heal up quick. My dad took the tip of his pinky off a couple years ago on the jointer. It gets cold much faster then his other fingers, especially while ice fishing.

I had a table saw mishap two years ago on the job. I was making a custom threshold piece out of some red oak. As I was feeding it through the blade grabbed the push stick and it kicked back. It flew twenty feet across the room and went through a newly installed $600.00 window.







The blunt end of the push stick tore a cut into the skin of my palm. Luckily, I learned years ago to stand off to the side when feeding a table saw.

Just think... If you had been standing in front of that stick your death would've saved you $600 and up to 40% on your insurance... Liberty Biberty.

My only suggestion is, use pure honey instead of that antibiotic stuff.
