hey you finally posted one I would let walk till next year

just not enough meat on that one to bother this year

they skin easy but take as long to bone out as the big ones for a little mound of meat on the table when done.

It's just a normal whitetail fawn. Not sure what would suggest it had EHD, it appears perfectly healthy. And it's the wrong time of year for EHD.

It’s jaws look swollen, normally whitetails faces are pretty tight. I’ve found deer this time of year with ehd although they say the cold weather usually takes care of the virus. This is a yearling in my driveway with ehd on Nov, 23.

That looks like a fawn...our yearlings are much larger.

And to the original post...looks like a normal whitetail to me.

He stood in my yard with his head like that for 12hrs and finally wondered into the corn. I never found a carcass so maybe he made it. I could walk right up to it and pet it. The game warden said the cold could conquer the virus, it was a heavy frost that night.

Looks like a fluffy fawn that just grew into his winter coat. Maybe born a little later than normal.
