What a great b-day gift! Thats good wifeing! LOL
Looks like a lot of Geese in the air just above the trees in second to the last pic, or is my screen just dirty? LMAO we were done well before 9:00. there was geese in the air the entire time we were picking up decoys. I'm pretty sure there's geese in the background somewhere. they have the birds up there like we used to have down here 20 years ago. it brought back a lot of good memories.

Pintail Looks like you had a great hunt. A friend introduce me to goose hunting last year shot my first one last September and was able to take a couple of more by myself hunting a cut silage field. I'm rolling my own also but mine are 12ga 2 3/4 shells #1 steel. I have two loads that pattern very well at 40 yards. One is running right around 1505 fps and the other is 1630 fps J

You gottm ! Tell us about your shrapnel shooter ,its choke etc. Do you pick and roast some of the smaller ones ? That makes for some good sandwich meat leftovers.

Crab Orchard doesn't get Canadian Geese anymore? not like they use too. I remember the days of 2 million geese south of I-64. now we are lucky to see 10,000 a season.

That makes for some good sandwich meat leftovers. that's my precious. it's a win 120, with a Carlson long range choke. I didn't pluck any of them, just breasted them out we were staying at an Airbnb, so I didn't want to make a mess. I would have liked to have rendered the fat off of them too.
