Hello out there, I am getting my trapping supplies ready for our wolf season which starts Tuesday here.
It is 18 degrees and snowing. We have a lot of wolf activity here, I am planning on making snow sets and a
natural pee tree set.

Yep,that one has been eating good and regular by the look of him.
Hope you nail him.

Nice big wolf in the picture.
What is a snow set?

It is a nice looking wolf, although he is looking right into my horse pen. I have gam cams facing out on my horse and
mule pasture fences. A snow set is maybe not the right terminology, but its what I call it when I hide my traps in the snow
in a staggered way along their trail.

Thank you! We have 6-8 coming near the upper pastures weekly, and this
is one of them.

I hope to nail him one way or another, hunting or trapping.
There was a very skinny one that came through. I can't get that pic to attach for
some reason. But the skinny one was eating a bear cub up the drainage end of summer.

What is their primary prey in your area? Elk, mule deer, pets?

Elk, whiteys, muleys, sometimes moose in the winter.
Livestock in the summer.

Best of luck to you. That's a good looking wolf. Hope to see catch pictures in the next month or so. Good luck!

Okay gotcha.
I hope you hang one or a few up! Catching those big dogs becomes addicting.

Had some Christmas cookie wolves today, 3 came through in the daytime when I was in the kitchen and dug at the
neighbors sheep pen fence.
They went above their regular horse pasture trail here, which makes me think I have to swap my traps with the next snow,
which should be Friday. I have them cleaned, re-waxed and drying now. I know they are smart, but I am smarter, (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) it.
2 did get harvested in the last week up the draw behind me. My plan is to set traps on the regular, new and unused trails,
and hunt them again this weekend.
Thanks for listening, all. Merry Christmas and stay tuned!
