Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

I'm not defending the coach. The mom probably knows her kid needed a handful of act right after what he did on the field and probably at home. I didn't see what happened on the field but I guess the kid did something blatant. I’m not defending the coach either. There is absolutely no justification for him punching a kid like that regardless of what the kid did. The fact that the culture of the associated people are willing to dismiss it speaks volumes of the character that will built in these youth. And that character will be missing in respect.

I don’t care if he’s the kids brother. It’s absolutely Inexcusable. He’s supposed to be an adult and it’s a child

besides the kids parents.....why would ANY OTHER ADULT stand by and let that happen? I have shut up other coaches for just cussin their team. The other coach should be held accountable too for not protecting the youth at least after the first encounter and while shite for brains is still having his tantrum. .

Glad the state is charging the coach. He's a sheriff's officer so the judge will likely mention his service to the community as a reason for a lenient sentence. The other coaches who watched approvingly should be fired.
