Just got a young female coyote and it had several small soft cauliflower shaped white growths on its lips from BB to pea size . Never seen it before, any ideas of what it could be ? The rest of her looked good except for missing fur on the last 3" of her tail. -Thanks

All of the boy coyotes in area had a special name for that one I bet.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

My guess would be canine oral papillomavirus (COPV). What ever you do, don't kiss it.

Yes, but not that bad. Smaller , BB to pea size, white, and not clumped together. Anything to be concerned about or flesh and board as normal ? thanks

That was the most advanced case of the 6 or so I caught like that. The district biologist wasnít worried about it and didnít want the head. But later that year they wanted anymore I caught like that. Havenít seen it since. That yote couldnít eat as his tongue and inside of his mouth was full of that stuff. He was in poor shape but his hide was good. I chose not to skin him.
