I'd bet these guys had a blast behind the scenes, probably all great friends with a pretty big social scene behind closed doors. "Da Crusher" was Reggie Lisowski and lived in South Milwaukee. I went to high school and was good friends with his nephew who lived next door to Reggie. One day we went next door and Dick the Bruiser (Reggie's cousin), Reggie, and Mad Dog and Butcher Vachon were at the kitchen table playing Sheepshead and speaking in normal voices. That night they had a "death match" in the Milwaukee Auditorium. Just regular guys with a gimmick.
