You vote for who you think will advocate for you, across the board, in most of America. There are themes to candidates.

I have no idea what OR is like or how it's run. Never been there. But I can promise, like Santa, I keep a list of naughty and nice politicians, and I'm not talking morals because politics is a nasty war inside and out. If a politician is, or has, or seems to advocate, not for compassion, but with prejudice, for tent cities and police defunding in Portland..... nix...... naughty list.

Big theme concepts start in the weeds, so if a politician is advocating for the big, they are all in on the little.
The people you speak of beeverpeeler must all be known by big themes? And who do they chum with? Usually people with the same beliefs? Ho-ho-police must go....

Those of us voting big themes are getting crushed more and more, by those who are progressive = I can do this better than you, OR I want my small slice and that's cool OR people who don't know that people can be a bit crazy when someone hands them the reins.
