Just dont understand why if bitcoin, or any other cyber currency is a good concept when they, who ever they are want you cash to buy it.

At least gold you can hold in your hand and there are uses for it. I guess I understand the concept of bit coin basically electronic money but what is it backed with, gold or cash which deletes the purpose. Also who runs or monitors it and protect it from theft or hacking?

Nothing says you can't buy or sell directly with BTC. If you want to buy a house straight with BTC you can. Whether your counterpart in that deal will go along with it is another issue.

You can put all your cryptos on a thumb drive and they can't be stolen unless someone steals your thumb drive

There's no one person or entity that monitors BTC, it's a bit difficult to explain, if you want to learn more lookkup Bitcoin white paper.

I see the dollar is gaining strength also, can foreign countries use bitcoins to purchase goods in the U.S. to avoid the difference between their currencies and the dollar? If so do you think that it’s driving the value up?

Really cant see that unless you dont have any access to getting USD. Theres always ways to make money with ForEx but I just cant see that as a driver of the price. At least not upward anyway.

BTC is staying range bound for the time being but something is pumping XRP.

Talk about a big scheme. Maddox was nothing compared to bitcoin. Pyramid scheme. The guys at the top get your greenback and you get an electronic notification that says you own some bitcoin. When the guys at the top need more cash they increase the value of the bitcoin to get people to purchase more with greenback of course. A fool and his money soon part.
